We had the most amazing vacation in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! We stayed at the Riu Playacar, and everything at the resort from the Room, Staff, Entertainment, Food, Atmosphere, Beach, Pools, Games......EVERYTHING... was just perfect. The ocean was crystal clear blue.
Monday we went to a place called Xel-Ha and had a ton of fun tubing, snorkling, cliff jumping, and dolphin watching!
Thursday we went exploring! We walked about 30 minutes outside the resort to Playacar's historic 5th Ave, which is about a mile of market stores along the beach. From there we boarded a boat for a 45 minute cruise to the historic Cozumel island; which is the largest Mexican island. This is where major cruise liners, such as Carnival and Norwegian dock, to allow their passengers to experience Mexico. We rented a scooter and scooted in and out of the town, and all along the outer border of the island with its view and beaches as guides. Riding along unmarked roads and streets with no lines was an adventure in and of itself, but this was one of the coolest parts of our vacation!
Like we said before the night time entertainment was really something special. Every night at the resort we were treated to a top notch, high class, song and dance, extravaganza!
These guys should be given all the credit in the world because every day they managed games for everyone, hosted all the days activities, and all around played a HUGE part in the overall fun experience of every day!
